The Safety Video

Before planning any excavating, digging, trenching, plowing, drilling, tunneling, auguring, backfilling, blasting, stripping topsoil, dumping, leveling, pounding posts or crossing a pipeline right-of-way with heavy equipment or vehicles CALL your local call centre.

Your Safety Check List:

• Plan your activity - identify the location of your work
• Visit the site - look for signs of a nearby pipeline or other buried utilities
• Contact one call centre - at least three days in advance to locate the pipeline
• Call the pipeline company for approval of any ground disturbance at least 10 days in advance
• Understand the meaning of the locate marks

TransCanada will:

• Locate pipelines
• Mark pipelines
• Determine a safe method for heavy equipment to cross the right-of-way
